There’s so much untapped potential in rescued materials. By sparking imagination, Artcycle's purpose is to reshape how we think about consumption. The good news is waste to wonder, flips problems into solutions.

Since 2024 she had the vision to combine 30 years design experience working in business winning for blue chip corporate organisations, and the lessons of operating an award-winning stationery business. Away from the desk, she had an unexpected heart for litter picking.

"I started my first business with £50 and desire to empower youngsters to build a posture of creativity and entrepreneurship. I am excited to the see what the Lord Jesus has planned for the future of Artcycle".

Sophia Harding, Craft Recycler

Sophia inspires peers to see waste not as a problem, but as possibility. A new shipwright, she loves the practical, problem-solving and the potential of wood and its miraculous properties that enable the creation from magnificent tree into beautiful seafaring craft.

"Like the mustard seed, I know that all change starts small—with one idea, one act, one piece of someone else's rubbish reimagined and reshaped. Through our practical workshops, and as the youngest team member I can share the message of stewardship, responsibility and appreciation of all we have been blessed with".

Jolanta Januszewski, Craft Recycler

JJ has been knitting since the age of 10—needles in hand for almost 30 years—and combining 20 years as a graphic designer, she found joy in stepping away from screens to be creative with her hands. Whether it’s knitting, macramé, or up cycling forgotten objects, JJ delights in giving materials a second life.

"I especially love crafting imaginative projects with my young daughter, using natural treasures gathered on city or nature walks. Once its original purpose has passed—anything can be transformed into something playful, beautiful, or unexpected. For me, creative play isn’t just for children—it’s a lifelong adventure for anyone with a curious heart".

Charlotte Deans, Safeguarding

Charlotte is a volunteer, she has stepped in during her gap year to help bring new ideas to early years, through designing education resources for our outreach programme. She is deeply committed to inspiring children and using rescued materials, plus supporting their development through practical, creative learning.

"I want to encourage children to care for their environment and understand the value of reusing and rescuing materials".

Charlotte's heart for young carers and children who carry additional responsibilities, ensures every child feels seen, supported, and empowered and have respect for themselves, others, and the world around them.

"My little girl loved it, made a great jelly fish out of an old plastic bottle, a clever little piece of art, out of somebody’s old rubbish."
