Meet the craft recyclers
Artcycle we rescue litter from bushes and other people's bins to reshape them into creative fun. Meet the mums, daughters and sisters-in-faith bringing an end to the mess of a town near you.
All artwork featured has been created by Sharon Campbell.
Humans are creation by nature. That is the truth. I want to spark imaginations, reshape how we think about consumption and waste and then step-up to our calling and purpose to flourish.
I have been a graphic designer for over 30 years—yep, long enough to remember when cut and paste meant scissors and glue. I have lived in Portchester since 1980. During this time I have seen the mess clogging up bushes and gutters. These acts are a cry for healing. The good news we have the answer to flip that problem on its head.
We live in a world of abundance, not lack. Now, I’m on a mission to change attitudes to empower people, especially youngsters to be creative and entrepreneurial and realising that rescuing materials has never been so much fun.

Sophia Harding, Craft Recycler
Sophia's aim is to inspire her peers to see waste not as a problem, but as possibility. She has recently qualified as a wooden boat builder where she learnt skills and the potential of wood and its miraculous properties to enable the creation from magnificent tree into beautiful seafaring craft.
Like the mustard seed, Sophia knows that all change starts small—with one idea, one act, one piece of someone else's rubbish reimagined and reshaped. Through the practical workshops, our youngest team member will share the message of stewardship, responsibility and appreciation of all we have been blessed with.

Jolanta Januszewski, Craft Recycler
She’s been knitting since the age of 10—needles in hand for almost 30 years—and after 20 years as a graphic designer, she’s found joy in stepping away from screens to create with her hands. Whether it’s knitting, macramé, or upcycling forgotten objects, she delights in giving materials a second life.
She especially loves crafting imaginative projects with her 5-year-old, using recycled bits and natural treasures gathered on city or nature walks. She believes that almost anything—once its original purpose has passed—can be transformed into something playful, beautiful, or unexpected. For her, creative play isn’t just for children—it’s a lifelong adventure for anyone with a curious heart.
